Bauma China postponed to 2024
Bauma China was felt held in 2002 and has grown to attract more than 3,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors. Show organisers Messe München have announced that the Bauma China trade show, due to be held from 22-25 November 2022, has been postponed to 26-29 November 2024, due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. The decision comes on the back of several lockdowns across the country in recent months, as fears persist about the spread of the virus. Although global travel has resumed, the Chinese government has continued to take a strict approach, recently encouraging people to stay put during the forthcoming National Day holidays, and avoid travel out of their cities to reduce the spread of COVID-19. In mid-September 2022, Raimondi Cranes announced its extensive show plan for Bauma 2022, while Doosan said it will launch new articulated dump trucks at the show. Bauma China, which was first held in 2002 and has grown to attract more than 3,000 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors, was due to be held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre. The location will remain unchanged for the 2024 event. “A successful Bauma CHINA with certainty for planning is our primary concern. Due to the still unforeseeable circumstances, this objective is unfortunately no longer feasible,” said Ms. Xu Jia, CEO of Messe Muenchen Shanghai Co., Ltd, in a statement.Later in September 2022, Komatsu said it would focus on future technologies at Bauma 2022, while Wacker Neuson noted that it would debut new innovations at the show. She added, “To avoid last minute decisions which may bring financial loss to the customers, we therefore cancel the show for 2022 with a heavy heart at this stage and hope that all exhibitors can now start their preparation and planning for a successful bauma China in 2024.”
